This event will be held on February 20-23. Source is based on the ethos of Burning Man, as such, it is totally volunteer based and not backed by big investment nor commercially oriented.
As a result, we do not book artists in the typical fashion. Last year every artist who played bought their own ticket to the event or they were sponsored by someone. With few exceptions, they found us.
It can be really challenging for many established artists to accept that they attend on the same level as sculptors, painters, cooks, organizers etc. the end result is an event in which all attendees are participants and services are gifts.
As the event gets closer and fund raising becomes more focused we may see some interested sponsors, discounted tickets and/or day passes . Please check back for updates or email me at thegypsymafia@gmail.com.
